About Timbervale
A Home Built on Warmth, Not Just Walls
We started Timbervale because we believed seniors deserved more than just a place to stay — they deserved a community worth belonging to.

Where Timbervale Began
Timbervale grew out of a simple question: what does it actually look like when older adults are well looked after — not just managed, but genuinely cared for? The house on Corydon Avenue had been a family home for decades before it became something larger. Its wide rooms, sunny courtyard, and unhurried pace made it feel like the right setting for a different kind of senior residence.
We opened Timbervale with a commitment to home-cooked meals, real conversation, and days shaped around what residents actually enjoy. We haven't changed that commitment. Our staff are people who chose this work because they find meaning in it — not because it was convenient.
Today, Timbervale serves a small group of residents from the Winnipeg area, with three distinct living arrangements that reflect how different seniors need and want different things. We keep our community intentionally small so that no one gets lost in the shuffle.

What guides us
Our Mission & Values
Dignity in Daily Life
Every resident deserves to be treated as an individual with their own preferences, history, and pace. We design each day around that.
Genuine Community
Mealtimes, gardens, and shared spaces aren't just amenities — they're the fabric of the place. We tend them carefully.
Honest Communication
We believe families deserve clear, candid conversations — about what we offer, what we don't, and how we handle the unexpected.

How we operate
Quality Standards & Protocols
Residential Standards Compliance
Timbervale operates in accordance with Manitoba's residential accommodation standards, including fire safety, building maintenance, and habitability requirements.
Food Safety & Nutrition
Our kitchen follows Manitoba food safety regulations. Menus are reviewed seasonally and adjusted to accommodate dietary needs and preferences shared by residents or families.
Privacy & Personal Data
Resident and family information is handled with care and in accordance with PIPEDA. We do not share personal details with outside parties except as required.
Housekeeping & Maintenance
Regular housekeeping schedules are maintained for all shared spaces. Private rooms receive cleaning on the schedule outlined in each arrangement. Maintenance issues are addressed promptly.
Emergency Preparedness
The residence has documented emergency procedures, fire suppression equipment, and clearly marked exits. Staff receive regular safety training and know how to respond calmly.
Family Communication
Families are welcome to visit and remain in contact with staff. Residents in the Comprehensive arrangement have a named staff liaison as a direct point of contact for questions or updates.
Senior Residential Boarding in Winnipeg
Timbervale has been part of Winnipeg's Corydon neighbourhood for over a decade, quietly offering something that's harder to find in larger facilities: a residence where people are known, where meals are cooked from scratch, and where the rhythm of daily life is set by the residents rather than a facility-wide schedule.
Our three living arrangements suit seniors at different stages of the transition from independent living. Some residents choose to start with a room and meals, appreciating the community aspect without giving up their independence. Others find the Comprehensive Arrangement best fits a season of life where they want all the essentials coordinated and handled attentively.
Families across Winnipeg and the surrounding Manitoba region have come to trust Timbervale because of our consistency — the same staff, the same values, the same willingness to have an honest conversation when one is needed. We think that matters more than brochure-quality marketing.
Thinking About a Move? Let's Talk.
A conversation costs nothing, and it often helps families feel clearer about what they're looking for. We're easy to reach.
